About Dyslexia Express

Dyslexia Express was created by Laura Picconi, an educator with more than 20 years of experience supporting students as a classroom teacher, interventionist, dyslexia specialist, and dyslexia program leader.

After years of working directly with struggling readers, Laura created Dyslexia Express around a simple idea: students need explicit, systematic reading instruction—and they also need opportunities to practice those skills in ways that are engaging enough to make them want to keep going.

Dyslexia Express provides free, interactive Structured Literacy games and resources designed to give students meaningful practice with the skills that build strong readers and spellers. Activities are organized both by individual skill and through the Dyslexia Express Learning Path, making it easier for teachers, interventionists, tutors, homeschool families, and parents to find practice that matches what a student is learning.

The learning path progresses from foundational phonological awareness and phonics through syllable types, advanced spelling patterns, multisyllabic words, morphology, vocabulary, sentence structure, and fluency. Games are designed to reinforce skills through repeated, purposeful practice—not simply keep students busy on a screen.

For educators, Dyslexia Express also offers teaching resources, intervention tools, classroom recommendations, and additional materials created from years of real classroom and intervention experience.

Above all, Dyslexia Express was built to make high-quality reading practice easier to access, easier to use, and more engaging for the students who need it most.
